Bobbi Brown Makeup Products: Jones Road Beauty for Fall and Winter

Bobbi Brown is a makeup artist, author and founder whose first namesake line started with ten lipsticks. Bobbi Brown Essentials debuted at Bergdorf Goodman in 1991, and Jones Road's interview recalls that the brand sold 100 in a day.

Brown studied theatrical makeup and photography at Emerson College. The Estée Lauder Companies acquired Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in 1995, and Brown left the company in 2016. She launched Jones Road in 2020, returning to multi-purpose makeup and simple, high-grade formulas for every skin type and tone.

Jones Road eyes, lips and brushes are the last layer I reach for in colder months: define brows, add one shadow or pencil, then finish with a lip product and a brush for soft edges.

Bobbi's holiday tutorial uses a similar direct sequence, from Face Pencil and Miracle Balm to brows, liner, shadow, mascara and lips. Her brand's first-year recap says Business Insider named Jones Road the fastest-growing DTC brand of 2021, with Shape recognizing Miracle Balm and Allure honoring The Best Pencil.

I would start with a light base and one cheek color, then keep the eye simple. For a holiday evening, I would pair Miracle Balm with The Classic Lip and leave the rest of the face soft. That balance feels like the most personal way to wear Bobbi Brown's approach.
