Men's Linen Shirts and Shorts in Olive, Khaki and Brown

Men's Linen Shirts and Shorts in Olive, Khaki and Brown

A men's edit of tonal dressing in olive, khaki and warm brown. Linen shirts, pants and shorts in neighboring shades that you can mix all summer.

Shade work is just wearing one color family from head to toe and letting the small differences do the talking. Olive, khaki and warm brown are the easiest place to start because they all sit so well together.

I would begin with a linen shirt, like the Alex Mill Mill Shirt in dark olive or the Portuguese Flannel camp collar in dry green. Then pick pants a shade lighter or darker, such as the Alex Mill field pants, the Closed corduroys or the Todd Snyder straight pants in tobacco brown. Shorts work the same way, and the Vuori Kore pair in agate green looks good with a plain tee.

Finish with something leather, like the Red Wing moc oxfords, and a Filson watch cap when it cools down. Keep the textures different and the colors close.
